Beginner Yoga
In Beginner Yoga classes, Stacey introduces the new student of yoga to basic breathwork and beginner level asanas (postures). Stacey additionally provides informative commentary to aid in sustaining and developing flexibility, core strength and graceful ease of movement to their body. Stacey’s signatures classes filled with soft music and gentle instruction are always sure to create a warm and inviting atmosphere; perfect for getting in touch with your body even if it’s the first time in years! There will be beginner level meditations and always a relaxation period at the end.
Improvisational Tribal Belly - Level 3

Tribal Style Belly Dance is a fusion of traditional Middle Eastern Dance and folkloric dance movements from India, Central Asia, the Middle East, North Africa, and Spain. Performed as a “tribe” using synchronized group improvisation, each group develops its own vocabulary of controlled, earthy, and mesmerizing movements and cues, allowing a “lead and follow” format. One of the most rewarding aspects of this dance is the camaraderie that develops between dancers from working so closely in an improvisational setting. Each dancer learns to communicate through body language and is mentally aware of her partners at all times.
Advanced - expand your vocabulary, learn variations of basic moves, cues & transitions, group improvisation, more work with zills. Switching sides, cue, and lead all moves comfortably and clearly.
Wear comfortable clothing that allows movement. Barefeet or socks. Student Zills and Hipscarves available for use.
Inner Fire Yoga
Inner Fire Yoga is a graceful, fun and challenging yoga class. This sequenced class (meaning it is always the same order of poses) combines many of the foundational classic yoga poses found in a Hot Yoga class with well known Power Flow sequences. Because it is the same sequence every time, it enables practitioners to let go of external focus, calm the mind and experience the moment to its fullest, connecting being with breath. An Inner Fire class will leave you feeling strong, energized, cleansed and open to all that may arise. 60 minutes

Intro to Formations & Dynamic (prerequisite: ability to execute, cue, and lead all Level II moves comfortably and clearly)
You have the moves and the cues… now learn what to do with them! You will begin using different formations, learn new ways to transition between leaders, learn new methods for switching sides, all while becoming more comfortable dancing your current vocabulary of moves.

Transitions and Cues (prerequisite: ability to execute all Level I moves comfortably and clearly)
Learn to create smooth transitions between steps, introduction to cues used in group improv dancing, musicality, and introduction to zils.

Caribbean - Jazz Fusion
New Session Beginning on January 17th
Caribbean-Jazz Fusion is a unique blend of Jazz and Caribbean dance styles. The warm-ups will be based in the Katherine Dunham Technique, and the class will include isolations & progressions important to both the Dunham and Jazz techniques. Live Drummers will accompany the class. Wear comfortable clothing that allows free movement and bare feet.

Beginner Yoga
This comprehensive, introductory class series is designed for beginners or students new to Yoga. Each class progressively builds on developing strength and flexibility. Many people enjoy taking the INTRO Series many times in order to soak up all the information and apply the knowledge to their practice. Demonstration, discussion, personal hands-on adjustments, and guided practice, provide you with a solid foundation of this dynamic style of yoga.
Dancing For Birth
8 Classes $100 or $15 drop-in
Dancing For Birth TM prenatal/postpartum dance classes incorporate dance moves from around the world that best prepare you to give birth. Birth can be like a marathon, and Dancing for BirthTM classes prepare you for the challenge. You’ll become stronger, more agile, more at ease with your body and both mentally and physically ready to embrace your unique birth experience. Weekly classes are offered to keep you dancing thru pregnancy, and postpartum with your baby.
Dancing for BirthTM prenatal/postpartum dance class participants report experiencing low levels of discomfort, few or no interventions, brief labors and high levels of satisfaction during their births.
You’ll learn birth dancing moves inspired by Belly dance, African dance, Latin dance and Caribbean dance. It’s a feel-good workout that challenges yet relaxes and uplifts you. No experience necessary!
At the same time you’ll be learning valuable childbirth preparation skills and natural pain coping techniques that will build your confidence in your own birthing ability and wisdom. Birth can be active, ecstatic, orgasmic, transformative, empowering! Did you know that there is an optimal position for your baby to be in when labor begins, and you can help assure that position? You’ll gain knowledge to help you have the birth that you envision for your baby.
Babies whose moms take Dancing for Birth prenatal/postpartum dance classes love the motion of dancing and are easily soothed after birth by being held while you dance. You’ll regain your pre-pregnancy shape and tone more quickly when you continue Dancing for BirthTM classes with your baby after he or she is born.
Both pregnant and postpartum mommies are welcome as well as babies in slings!
Sati Yoga and Meditation
Ahhhhh. Sati, or ‘present moment awareness’ yoga is a slow, calm, mindful, meditative approach. Varying postural recommendations are suggested, so you may enter the postures at your own levels of engagement. This meditative yin practice targets the fascia or connective tissue for greater flexibility and balance, both mentally and physically. Whether you’ve never tried yoga before, or are a seasoned practitioner, this practice will help you open to experience in a vibrant, engaged way. This is a great class for people who are new to yoga.
Bojjhanga Yoga and Meditation - Intermediate level
Bojjhanga or ‘awakened limbs’ yoga is a more invigorating yang practice that targets the muscles for strength and flexibility, and integration of mental, emotional and physical processes. Incorporating pranayama or breathwork, to energize and focus concentration, this practice will enhance well-being on all levels.
Intermediate Yoga
Intermediate classes are for those looking to take their practice to the next level. They combine a flowing vinyasa style with a stream of poses held for longer periods of time to build strength and focus. They utilize inversions and balancing poses, but modifications are given to students who prefer alternatives.
Indian Classical Dance - Bharata Natyam
Bharata Natyam is an earthy, dynamic and very gracious art of feminine dancing which is more than 2000 years old born in the temples of India, . Bharata Natyam is considered to be a ‘fire dance’ — the mystic manifestation of the metaphysical element of fire in the human body. Bharata Natyam is the manifestation of the ancient idea of the celebration of the eternal universe through the celebration of the beauty of the material body. A distinctive feature of Bharata Natyam Dance is the use of expressive hand gestures as a way of communication.The contemporary form of Bharata Natyam evolved during the late 18th or early 19th century.

Pelvic Power For Women
This class will combine yoga and dance to bring about an awareness and awakening of pelvic stability and core strength vital to our well-being. Starting with floor work, we will progress through sequential movements, yoga postures and breath practices that awaken our agni (inner fire). Pelvic Power is for women of all ages and levels of experience, who seek to connect to their true being. It is not recommended to eat prior to class.
