Dancing For Birth - Graduation
posted Monday December 19th
Our first session of Dancing For Birth culminated with a graduation ceremony in which a group of women created a sacred circle to support and honor the graduating soon to be mamas. It was an evening of tears, blessings and dance. Wishing a safe, happy and blessed birth to all participants.
Winter Wonderfulness
posted Tuesday December 13th
Dear Moving Friends,
As winter approaches and the cold weather settles in, my spirit soars in anticipation of the shift which is about to occur. Honestly there was a time when I dreaded this time of year. I would steel myself, gritting my teeth in preparation for the darkness and drabness of the season. The good news is that my outlook has changed. With age comes a certain wisdom i suppose, so that now I look forward with eager anticipation to the Winter Solstice, which this year falls on December 22nd.
In my new view I see the onset of winter as a pivotal point. One that signals the reversal of the gradual lengthening of nights and shortening of days. The days get longer incrementally each day until the summer solstice in June. Winter is a time of celebration and joy; a time of new beginnings and the start of the New Year.
We are starting the new year at Moving Arts with a new schedule, some exciting new teachers and dynamic new classes. Thank you all for your continued support. Wishing you all a happy holiday season and a peaceful, healthy and prosperous New Year.
Peace,
Ettel
